Can heart problems cause excessive sleepiness?
Excessive drowsiness might be a symptom of cardiac issues. Fatigue and sleepiness during the day are caused by conditions such as heart failure, which decrease blood flow and oxygen supply to the brain. The quality of sleep might also be affected by poor circulation, particularly if breathing becomes challenging when you're lying down. Fatigue may be an adverse effect of several cardiac medicines. Sleep apnea is also associated with heart problems, which exacerbates daytime drowsiness. Stimulants such as Modvigil 200mg do not address underlying cardiac problems, although they may momentarily increase alertness. Any persistent drowsiness accompanied by edema, shortness of breath, or chest discomfort should be assessed right away by a medical practitioner.
