Unplanned purchases: why do we make them?
Impulse purchases, or unplanned buying, occur when consumers make a purchase decision without предварительно planning it. Several factors can contribute to this behavior, including emotional triggers, the desire for instant gratification, and the influence of marketing strategies. For example, attractive displays, special offers, and catchy advertisements can entice consumers to buy a product they did not intend to purchase initially.
Additionally, social influence and the need to fit in can also lead to impulse buying. People may feel pressured to buy certain products to conform to social norms or to impress others. The ease of online shopping has also increased the frequency of impulse purchases, as consumers can quickly browse and buy products with just a few clicks. This convenience can sometimes override rational decision-making processes.
